a walk with the girls

Around 6:30 tonight I was fading fast. I figured if there was going to be any walking I’d better hurry up and do it. Hannah decided she wanted to walk instead of riding in the stroller, so I put Reagan in the umbrella stroller and off we went.

I was amazed that Hannah could actually talk the ENTIRE time we were walking. We counted birds on utilily lines, talked about the correct way to cross the road (stop, look both ways and hold Mommy’s hand), she talked about the grass, people’s houses, kids playing in their driveways, etc. I was really surprised that she didn’t want to go home, she wanted to keep walking. But I was afraid she wouldn’t be able to make it around a second time and there was no way I could have carried Hannah and pushed the stroller!

I don’t know that I can call it a work out since we had to go slow, I don’t think my heart rate ever increased. But we walked almost 30 minutes, so I figure it’s better than nothing. :) Zale had softball tonight so he wasn’t able to walk with us. Maybe tomorrow….it was a nice night to walk. I’m so glad it’s cooling off. I love the fall.
