the reason why you should wear protective eye gear during racquetball

Tuesday was my usual racquetball lesson with Dad. The lessons are picking up some, so Dad suggested I wear my safety glasses. I don’t find them comfortable and I haven’t been wearing them during our lessons. I relented and put them on. About half way through the lesson they were bugging me, just one more thing I had to think about, so I took them off.

Just a few minutes later I hit the ball, it came off the wall faster than I anticipated and smacked me right in the eye. Thankfully no damage was done, I didn’t even have a black eye. Guess I’m just going to have to get use to wearing them after all. :)

The racquetball lesson was a good one. I got a very good work out, ran more, and was finally starting to hit the ball more consistantly. Now if I could just start to gauge where the ball will go and make my body move fast enough to get to it before it bounces more than once. All those things I’m still working on. I’m hoping to be ready for a real game by Thanksgiving, maybe I should start praying. :)

Our last Weight Watcher’s weigh in is Saturday, I’m sure Dad will provide a REALLY good work out before the weigh in. I can honestly say I’m looking forward to it!

  1. Dad says:

You can count on Saturday for a good work out prior to the weigh in. You need a challenge- I am not working you hard enough, I am just an old softy.
    Love, Dad
