screams in the night

Last night was one of the rare nights when I fell asleep before the girls did. I’m getting over Mono (2nd time in my life I’ve had it), but yesterday afternoon/evening I had a HUGE sinking spell. I barely left my recliner and was asleep before 10. Zale had taken care of story time and prayers (along with pretty much everything else that needed to be done last night, cause he’s just that good to me!) and I knew Hannah was in her bed “reading”, while Zale was trying to get Reagan to go to sleep.

I have a vague memory of Reagan coming to the recliner (where I sleep most nights) and crawling up with me, but then getting uncomfortable and getting down to go to her room. This has become somewhat routine for her. I’ll rock her for awhile after Hannah is settled in bed, and put her down in her bed after she’s asleep, or she’ll want to stretch out more so she’ll go to their room on her own. Sometimes I find her in her bed, other times on the floor. That child will sleep anywhere. Turns out, she had crawled in bed with her big sister. Not sure if this was before or after Hannah was already asleep.

At 1:00 this morning I hear both girls crying and screaming…with Reagan crying “ow, ow, ow,” over and over and over. I run into their room not sure what is going on. I had been in such a deep sleep that I was more stumbling into their room as apposed to running into it. I find both of them in Hannah’s bed, Reagan sitting up with her hands on her face and Hannah still laying down with her hands covering her face. My only guess is that they rolled into each other and bumped heads. Thankfully they both went back to sleep quickly, and I did too. But it sure gave me a scare. Ironically (as far as I know) Zale and Anthony slept through the whole thing.
