A little about me…
A couple of years ago Zale convinced me to start this blog. I was hesitant to do it because I didn’t think I would be able to come up with anything to write about. But I had contributed a couple of stories to our friends online magazine and had a few other ideas to write about. So here we are, many many posts later and lots of hits. As it turns out, I love blogging and am very glad Zale talked me into it! Now if we could just figure out how to make some money doing it!
In the meantime, here’s a little about me….
I’ll be 36 next month, I was born in Maine (my Dad was stationed there while in the Navy), grew up in Arkansas, moved to middle Tennessee my senior year of high school and have been here ever since. God gave me back a wonderful relationship with Zale (we first met when I was 15) in 2001 and we have been together ever since, married in 2003. I have a 16 year old son, Anthony, from my first marriage (one of those instances where people get married too young, don’t have a clue what marriage is supposed to be, so of course it failed – maybe more on that another day), and two daughters, Hannah was born in 2005 and Reagan was born in 2007.
I was in the auto finance business for 6 or 7 years, than after some time off went into the mortgage business for about 3 years. In 2005 I was able to become a stay at home Mom. It is by far the hardest job I’ve ever had, but also the most rewarding. I feel so blessed to be able to spend so much time with my family!
Our family has been on a bit of a journey the last 6 years or so while Zale worked full time and went to law school. He PASSED the Bar exam in February ‘08, and was sworn into the court June 3, 2008. He started the Law Firm shortly after. Zale has several blogs, Law office Linux , Skilled Warrior , and Trying Linux. I’m loving the life God has given us, and am very excited to see what He has in store for us next!

Callie:
I am so proud of you. You are a great writer and this is such a rewarding activity.
I’ll be catching up on news from the Dowlens now that I can go to Callie’s Blog!
Hope to see you soon and good luck to Zale on passing the bar.
Love,
Karen

Hi Callie,
You have been “tagged.” I was tagged today and decided to participate. The advantage of this tagging is to send more people to your site. It’s okay if you choose not to participate. I have seen your site and I love your writings. I thought it would be nice if people would see it too. I’m also a stay-at-home Mom and I’m new to blogging.
Please click my link to see the rules of “tagging.”

Callie- Remember me?!!?!? I lived upstairs from you in the Old Married Student apartments at Harding. I have red hair and freckles and am 1 year older than you. My mom just sent me a link to your blog…I don’t know where she found it!
